TGU Roadmap Vision...
It is important to dream big! While we certainly dont have all the fine detail yet, at its inception Titan: Infiltration was envisioned to be the first in an initial series of five unique, yet interrelated titles set within the dystopian GrimDark future of the Titan Gaming Universe (TGU).
Each title will target a diffent genre of game play yet leverage a single common player identity across all, allowing you to feel as though you have seemlessly transitioned from one to the other without breaking continuity or being pulled out of the TGU experience.
This initial title released for the TGU series establishes much of the game lore, back story and key aspects of the TGU that future titles will build on. Architecturally, it builds the blueprints for the following key elements that are used pervasively throughout subsequent titles to create a consistent and cohesive gaming environment.
Large scale open world planet based hard sci-fi RTAS.
Extensive profile driven unit customisation both inside and out.
Explorable interiors to most units, laying the groundwork for Titan: Uprising and explorable/customisable city building interiors.
Launching with single player campaigns and peer-to-peer multiplayer.
Adding authoritative multiplayer, FPS/TPS (non-RTS) game modes and MMO support.
Gradually increases in scale and complexity over the course of subsequent releases.
Incorporates a game asset store for integrated DLC and Map purchases.
Provides a comprehensive player portal and matchmaking services suitable for all titles in the TGU.
Please see https://www.titan-rts.com/roadmap for a detail roadmap of planned features and functional releases planned for this title.
Arriving Late-2028...
Following the successful release of our first title, the second instalment to the TGU is an open workspace trading, piracy, combat, and exploration title that allows the player to explore the many worlds, their moons and star bases of the twelve factions present in the TGU. This title draws inspiration from titles such as No Mans Sky and Elite, amongst others.
Large scale open space-based hard sci-fi RTAS.
Builds on profile driven customisation to create a player driven diverse ecosystem.
Supports single player campaign missions and peer-to-peer multiplayer on initial release, with authoritative servers and MMO instances to follow in subsequent functional releases.
Leverages the same matchmaking and sharded backend infrastructure as Titan: Infiltration
Open ended architecture allows for additional star systems, planets, space ports etc to be added indefinitely to support future growth and territories to explore.
Bonus content based on items unlocked in Titan: Infiltration
Arriving Mid-2030...
The third planned title builds on the star systems and their associated worlds that the player explored in Titan: Resurgence by allowing them player to descend to the various cities, towns and extra-urban areas. Supporting both story-driven single player campaign missions and a range of multiplayer and MMO options, players can carry out a range of mission’s planet-side within these locations that seamlessly feedback to missions within Titan: Resurgence, as well as access bonus content based on what progress has been made within Titan: Infiltration.
For example, they could undertake a planet side mission to recover some advanced technology, a narcotics stash, or political assassination that is driven by a mission started back in Titan: Resurgence to sell the technology, narcotics or carry out the hit. Completing the mission therefore benefits both titles progression.
The game will be an open-world RPG akin to the likes of GTA, CyberPunk, etc, with a range of weapons, technologies, vehicles and buildings that can be entered and explored.
Multiple urban and extra-urban areas to explore across a range of planets and star bases.
Supports single player campaign missions and peer-to-peer multiplayer on initial release, with authoritative servers and MMO instances to follow in subsequent functional releases.
Close integration with achievements and events unlocked in previous titles.
Wide range of mission types for all gamer styles.
Historical side missions that let the player re-enact events of any historical artefacts they successfully recovered in Titan: Infiltration as the protagonist in question.
Arriving Late-2031...
The penultimate planned title is an Urban Simulator and planning tool akin to the likes of SimCity. It allows players to build their own layouts within an urban landscape by defining residential, commercial, industrial and military zones along with all the supporting infrastructure they require for transport, power, water, waste and amenities.
The player will be able to model a range of civil, military and natural disaster scenarios to see how their city responds and they will be able to connect their cities to other players’ cities to conduct simulated trade, commerce and conflict.
Moreover, they can import their completed cities into Titan: Uprising and play out the scenarios created in Titan: Metropolis as both single and multiplayer missions to fully explore the worlds they have created.
Many of the tools developed to create the city maps for Titan: Metropolis would have been done so with this title in mind so they can be readily commercialised to allow the players to create their own models in a manner compatible with other titles.
City building and scenario simulation by creating residential, commercial, industrial and military zones, along with all supporting infrastructure and services.
Supports single player campaign missions and peer-to-peer multiplayer on initial release, with authoritative servers and MMO instances to follow in subsequent functional releases.
Exporting of completed cities into Titan: Uprising to allow full player functionality and the overlaying of existing missions where appropriate.
Player upvoting of exported cities for consideration for including as part of the Titan: Uprising base platform, making the map available to all players.
Arriving Mid-2033...
The final instalment in the TGU is and RPG built around stealth and espionage. Given how far out this title is on the roadmap, it is intentionally high level at this stage and will be refined iteratively as each previous release is developed to ensure a consistent and fitting conclusion to the TGU series.
Features of the final title are less well defined due to how far it is out, but it will support a range of campaign, multi-layer and MMO covert/stealth missions that ultimately will see the permanent removal of Yang from the campaign and bring the series to a satisfying conclusion.
